Did Y'all Know He's Published?

Over a year ago, I was living in Brooklyn, working in a restaurant in SoHo, non-equity and feeling uninspired, when I went to a salon and shared a poem that I hadn’t dared to speak since I had first written it. I was terrified.
Well, my gods were feeling generous and aligned the stars to ensure that my expression was heard by Colleen Heaver. She offered me a spot within the next issue of her magazine, if I could write a piece inspired by her own work.

It was time for me to begin expressing more freely, without permitting fear of inadequacy or disappointment to hold me back from me.

I am so immensely proud to have been a part of this collective work, contributing my voice to these other amazing artist’s works. Please take in this second issue of Formstory, a collective work of artists telling pieces of their stories <3
